This half-page, black-and-white magazine ad was created to promote a series of jazz concerts, featuring a variety of noted and popular jazz musicians, at the famous Birdland nightclub in New York City. This was notable in that such a large gathering of jazz greats seldom happens
in the Big Apple.

The title of the event, Pizzarelli Party, stems from the fact that many of the musicians are members of the same well-known jazz family. Bucky Pizzarelli is considered one of the best jazz guitarists alive; John Pizzarelli, a noted jazz guitarist and vocalist, and Martin Pizzarelli,
a jazz bassist, are his sons. Jessica Molaskey, a jazz vocalist, is married to John Pizzarelli.

The photo is interesting in that it shows Bucky, as a boy, playing guitar and happily "goofing around" with two of his uncles, both of whom were also jazz musicians. The photo was a great choice for this CD cover, in that it gives voice to the passion and joy with which Bucky has imbued all of his work as a professional Jazz guitarist.

The gathering at Birdland was sponsored by Arbors Records, of Cleawater, Florida, the label for which all of the musicians regularly record.
